What genres can I submit?
We accept academic literary pieces such as informational essays and research papers as well as poetry, prose, creative fiction and nonfiction.
What is the word count for each genre?
Essays: Between 500-1,500 words
Research papers: Between 1,000-1,500 words
Poetry: 400 words or less
Prose/Creative Nonfiction: 1,000 words or less
Do pieces need to be relevant to the issue theme?
All pieces submitted to be consider for publication in our current issue MUST be related to the theme. However, pieces related to healthcare, medicine, human experiences, and/or health conditions can still become published in our blog page! If you are interested in submitting to either of these, there are forms linked at the end of this page.
Are previously published works allowed?
We accept any previously published works! We do require that you let us know if the work has been previously published, and the name of the publisher so that we can credit them.
Are multiple submissions allowed?
Multiple submissions are allowed! However, the google form must be submitted multiple times if that is the case.
When will I get a response?
Responses with free feedback will be sent out within 2-3 weeks after the submission deadline. If you have submitted a piece, but didn't receive a response, please contact us!
